One vaccine, protection against the HPV types responsible for the majority of HPV-related cancers
Gardasil 9 protects against nine types of HPV, including the high-risk types 16 and 18 that cause most cervical cancers, and types 6 and 11 that cause most genital warts. It is given as a course of two or three doses — your pharmacist will confirm the right schedule for you at your first visit.
Protects against HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52 and 58.
UK national guidance (the UKHSA Green Book) supports a 2-dose schedule for most healthy adults; the licensed 3-dose schedule remains recommended for anyone with a weakened immune system. We confirm yours at your first visit.
Recommended for girls, boys, women and men — and the UK licence has no upper age limit, so protection is available whether you\'re 19 or 69.
We'd rather tell you now than after you've paid. Check where you stand before booking privately.
Anyone who missed the school programme can still catch up free on the NHS until their 25th birthday — ask your GP practice. Gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men can get it free up to age 45 through sexual health clinics.
The NHS doesn\'t cover women or men aged 25+ who missed the programme, or anyone over 45. That\'s who our private service is for — any age from 9 up, no upper limit, no GP referral, booked directly with our Bromley pharmacist.
Not sure which applies to you? Book anyway — eligibility is the first thing we check at your appointment, and if the NHS route is open to you, we'll say so.
£189 per dose, paid per visit — never upfront for the whole course. Your pharmacist confirms the right schedule for you at your first appointment.
Two doses at least six months apart. Supported by UK national immunisation guidance (the UKHSA Green Book) for most healthy people — fewer visits, lower total cost.
Three doses over six months (0, 2 and 6 months) — the manufacturer\'s original trial-based schedule, and the recommended course for anyone with a weakened immune system.
You don't need to decide now — book dose one and settle the schedule with your pharmacist. Read the official Summary of Product Characteristics and patient information leaflet for Gardasil 9.
A very common virus that most people encounter at some point in their lives
HPV is a group of very common viruses. Most people will be infected at some point, often without any symptoms.
Spread through close skin-to-skin contact, including sexual contact. Condoms reduce but do not eliminate the risk.
High-risk HPV types can cause cervical, anal, throat (oropharyngeal), penile and vulval cancers.
Types 6 and 11 cause the majority of genital warts. Gardasil 9 protects against these too.
The vaccine works best when given before exposure to HPV, but many adults still benefit
The vaccine gives the best protection when given before any exposure to HPV.
The UK licence has no upper age limit, and adults often still gain real protection against HPV types they haven\'t yet met. You may benefit if you are:

For adults, UK national guidance (the UKHSA Green Book) supports a two-dose schedule for most healthy people, while the licensed three-dose schedule remains recommended for anyone with a weakened immune system. Your pharmacist confirms the right schedule for you at your first visit — you pay per dose, so the decision never costs you anything upfront.
