These terms apply to the use of our website and to the services we provide at Caxton Pharmacy. Please read them before booking an appointment. Using our website or booking a service means you accept these terms.
We are registered with and regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council. Our registration can be checked on the GPhC register.
We provide both NHS services and private services. NHS services are provided free of charge to eligible patients under the terms of the relevant NHS scheme. Private services are chargeable and are described on the relevant page of this website.
Appointments can be booked through this website or by contacting the pharmacy. When you book you will receive a confirmation by email.
Booking an appointment does not guarantee that a service will be provided. All clinical services are subject to an assessment by a pharmacist or other qualified member of our team, and we may decline to provide a service where it would not be clinically appropriate or safe for you. Where that happens for a paid service, you will not be charged, or you will be refunded.
Please arrive on time. If you are significantly late we may not be able to see you, as appointments are scheduled in sequence.
If you cannot attend, please let us know as far in advance as you can so the appointment can be offered to someone else. You can cancel or rearrange using the link in your confirmation email, or by telephoning us.
Prices for private services are shown on the relevant service pages and are inclusive of VAT where it applies. Prices for medicines and vaccines can change, for example where the cost to us changes. The price that applies is the one confirmed to you at the time of your appointment.
Payment for private services is taken at the pharmacy unless we tell you otherwise at the time of booking.
To provide services safely we rely on the information you give us. Please tell us accurately about your medical history, current medication, allergies and any relevant symptoms. Providing incomplete or inaccurate information may put your health at risk and may mean we cannot provide the service.
Where a service requires preparation — for example being well hydrated before a blood test, or allowing enough time before travel for a vaccination to take effect — we will tell you at the point of booking. Please follow that guidance.
The information on this website is general information about our services. It is not personalised medical advice and should not be relied on as a substitute for a consultation with a pharmacist, your GP or another healthcare professional.
If you have a medical emergency, call 999. For urgent advice that is not an emergency, call NHS 111.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please speak to the pharmacist on duty or contact us at info@caxtonpharmacy.com. We take complaints seriously and will aim to resolve them promptly.
If we cannot resolve your complaint, you can raise it with:
